to the Dutchess County Association for Senior Citizens
Founded in 1956, DCASC, The Senior Organization, is a 501(c)3,
not-for-profit, United Way organization. We strive to provide
quality programming and opportunities for seniors in and around
Dutchess County, New York. Currently, we offer an array of programs,
including; Daybreak Adult
Day Care Centers in Poughkeepsie and Wappingers Falls, RSVP
(Retired & Senior Volunteer Program), Volunteers
In Transition, Project Care,
Between Friends, Learning
Through Others, The Sincerely Yours
Intergenerational Pen Pals, Travel
Club and Senior Social
Centers in Poughkeepsie, Pleasant Valley/ LaGrange and Rhinebeck,
and we are seeking to expand our Transportation Services.

DCASC Mission Statement:
"The Dutchess County Association for Senior Citizens is dedicated
to enhancing the quality of life for those aged 50 and older in
and around Dutchess County. It addresses their physical, social
and emotional needs through educational, recreational and task
assistance programs, transportation, volunteer opportunities and
aid to their family and other supporters. DCASC seeks to
promote both the independence of seniors and their integration
in the community in order to diminish isolation and to use their
talents to improve society. The Association serves further to
provide useful information to and about this population and to
advocate for their crucial role in a widely rewarding and productive
community life."
Our motto is: "Nobody
can do everything, but everyone can do something to help make
a better place for all."
