Droylsden Youth Centre has been honoured with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service!
“This unique UK national honour was created by Her Majesty to mark the Golden Jubilee in 2002 and to recognise the outstanding contributions made to local communities by groups of volunteers. It has an equivalent status for voluntary groups as the MBE has for individuals.”
Droylsden community centre hosts international fa coaching course
The week before Easter found the FA using the centre for a level 1 coaching course. Delegates attending came from as far away as Japan and Qatar and many visited the UK just for the course.
Michelle Wilcock of the FA said:
“Thanks again for making us feel so welcome all week, the gifts you gave to our large international contingent was a really kind touch and I know was much appreciated.
I hope to deliver another course at Droylsden soon, as the venue is fantastic and your warm hospitality helped to create a really positive learning environment for myself and the candidates.”
